Quality childminding in Chislehurst

I'm Ann Bennett. I'm 44, divorced and live in Chislehurst with my son. I've been working as a childminder for 9 years. I decided to give up my career and become a childminder so that I could be with my son, see him grow up and give him all the love, nurturing and experiences that are so vital for a happy childhood. I also wanted to help other people like myself to have the choice to continue their careers, knowing that their children were safe, healthy, learning great things and having a wonderful time while they were at work. I certainly don't regret giving up my career - I really love my job and never wake up with that sinking feeling on a Monday morning!

My main aims are to provide a stimulating and fun environment, healthy home-cooked organic food and to encourage respect, kindness and good manners.

The service I provide is extremely flexible, as I know how complicated life is when you're working. Not everyone has family close by who can step in and help out, but I will always try to be there in an emergency and provide the support that's needed. Although I don't work overnight, I am registered for overnight care which is available for emergency use, for instance during the birth of a child or a hospital stay.

I am passionate about understanding and supporting children and families who live with disabilities. My son has Asperger's Syndrome, so I've spent many years studying and researching the condition. Over the years, I've gained extensive experience of working with children with disabilities, particularly Asperger's Syndrome, communication problems and food allergies.
